Institute Profile

History - The Fire Institute is an international, interdenominational Bible institute that was founded in 1997 by the Chancellor, Pastor Mark D. Boykin. The name of the institution was changed to The Fire Institute in 2007 to reflect the emphasis of the Holy Spirit.

Ministry Affiliations

The institute operates under the purview of Christian Ministries International Fellowship (CMI) as its premier leadership training ministry. CMI is an international, trans-denominational fellowship of pastors and leaders that offers licensing and ordination credentials.

The main campus of The Fire Institute operates from the premises of Church of All Nations located in Boca Raton, South Florida. The church boasts weekly attendance around 2500 with over 50 nations represented. The institute trains nearly 200 of its congregates annually.

Student Body - The student body is diverse in many ways. Most students claim cultural and linguistic heritage outside the United States, primarily from Latin America and the Caribbean. Most students speak two or three languages including Spanish, Portuguese and Creole-French. Second, the student body ranges in age from 18 to 55 years. The median age is 34 years. Third, the level of educational attainment varies dramatically from High School Diploma to Master's Degree. Finally, each student brings a unique testimony. Some were raised in Christian homes, some are recovering addicts, but all of them were sinners who are now saved by grace!

 

 

 

 

 

Location - The Fire Institute is located in sunny South Florida about 50 miles north of Miami. The church is located one block east of Florida Atlantic University on Glades Road.

Weather - South Florida's climate is subtropical and humid. Average annual rainfall is 40-65 inches. More than half occurs in the wet season, which is June through September. The average annual temperatures are 67 low and 83 high.

South Florida is one of the warmest places in the United States mainland in winter. Summers are often hot, but the high temperatures are tempered by frequent afternoon and early evening thunderstorms.
